Week 34 --- Frickin Drunks...

Squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you will not believe the week we just had!!!!!!!!!!! Blessings!!!!!! So we have had some troubles finding people, and getting people to attend church. So obviously we have prayed, and fasted for some help, because we know our Heavenly Father is always willing to help. So a family in our ward, the family of Gustavo, is really big, and por fin, they have been working with their family, and because of their help in the work, we have 7 new investigators, with real desires to follow Christ. They all came to church yesterday. We had 11 investigators in total attend church. What a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooo I gave this email a title, a little weird, but not when I explain why I did it. So yesterday we had a lesson with an inactive member's daughter, who is the only one of the family who isn't baptized. So we showed up, and when we were waiting for someone to answer our clapping, because that's how we do it down here, we noticed 2 drunks getting yelled at by the neighbor right? I don't know what they did because we showed up in the middle of the yelling, but it was crazy, and well they started to walk our way, and at this time we were talking with the mom, who was saying that they didn't have time, but the drunks came over and asked me "Are you a preacher?"  I didn't answer, because he was drunk and I was talking with the lady, and he kept asking me are you a preacher because this guy needs to know Jesus, he has a demon inside him, he needs Jesus, but finally the lady was like "hey you're interrupting a conversation" and they started to walk away, but she felt like it would be safer if we came in. So we did, and we ended up being able to teach, and she wants her daughter to be baptized, and the daughter also wants to be baptized... So we set a baptismal date. This sounds kinda weird but those drunks were a blessing.

Also this week we had interviews with President Goates, and also his wife gave a little lesson about obedience, and one of the examples she gave was Jesus Christ, obviously he would be a great example. Well we talked about his sacrifice in Gethsemane, and how even when he was experiencing every pain and affliction that we have, and as he took upon his self the load of all our sins, he still would not disobey his God. Matthew 26:39:

39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

That's the kind of obedience we should have, obviously we will never experience the kind of suffering that he did, but we should be willing to suffer a little sometimes, to be obedient to our Heavenly Father.

That's all for this week, I will talk to you later!
