Week 86 --- It's been a minute

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So my dear mother is upset with me because I haven´t written group emails the last few weeks, and it´s true. I apologize for that.

So some stuff has happened in the last few weeks, so I´m gonna tell yall some of the highlights. To start I´m gonna tell yall about the Leguiza Family, We found this family last week, and the first lesson was great. We set baptismal dates with all of them. In the first missionary lesson, The Restoration, it talks about the restoration of the Priesthood upon the earth, and many times this has brought up the question if baptism in other churches really counts, and so the dad says to us "I was already baptized, but if what you´re saying is true, does that mean that it didn´t count?" This has always been a difficult question for me to answer, but we told him that his baptism wasn´t valid in the eyes of God, and instead of getting upset, he humbly answered, then I need to be baptized. It was quite the experience. After the lesson he invited us to have an asado with him, soooo soon we will be eating an asado with this great family.

Ohhhh also we are now teaching the Carmona family, they were less active members, and not all have been baptized, but they came up to us last week at church, and told us to come prepare their children for baptism, this family wasn´t going to church for a very long time, and they just told me it was time to come back. Sooooooo not this week but the next 3 of their children will be baptized!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that´s all for this week folks, I'll talk to yall next week, I hope everyone enjoys General Conference!

Week 84 --- BAUTISMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I haven´t written for 2 weeks now, and I am sorry for that, but today I got some stuff to share. So to start, my dear companion Elder Lucero finished his mission, and is on his way back to Chile, sooooo I received another companion, his name is Elder Rojas, he from Peru, and for those who are counting this is my 3rd from Peru, but white comps are still in the lead with 6, and Chile 1.

So this last week was wild, a bunch of farewells for Elder Lucero, a few asados, and not a lot of time to work for the preparation we had to do for our baptisms. So the 2 that were baptized are Maria and her son Axel, they are dope. Axel is 12 years old, and told us that he wants to be a missionary too.

Also yesterday we found a dope family, The Leguiza Family, all of them accepted fechas and the invitation to go to church in the first lesson, we also hit it off so well that they invited us to eat an asado with them Sunday after church. Sooooo yeah it was a pretty great lesson.

Well sorry that this email wasn’t so long, my mother made me do some college stuff, and that took up a lot of time, soooo I´m gonna end with a story about Albert Einstein. Soooo in school a professor explained to his class that God created everything that exists, and because evil exists it means that God created evil, therefore God is bad. So Einstein asked his professor a question, he asked if the cold existed. The professor said obviously. Einstein said no it does not, it is only the absence of heat, then he asked his professor another question, he asked if the darkness existed, and the professor responded yes of course, and Einstein explained that darkness did not exist either it is only the absence of light, and then explained how God did not create evil, evil is just the absence of God in one´s life. So lets not create evil, lets not allow the absence of God take place, because God is good.
