Week 101 --- It's been a minute . . .
SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo I figured because this is my last PDay in the mission I should probably write something. Well this last week was a little stressful for me. Remember that guy Sergio that I talked about, well we dropped him... It is so sad, because he knows without a doubt that the church is true, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, but he won´t be baptized because his wife doesn´t want him to, and he doesn´t want conflict with her. And we have to find those who are willing to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized, I know he´ll get there, I just don´t know when.
Awhile back I spoke of an excommunicated member (Brother Trotta), who is a stud, well he´s back at it again. He called us one day and said I´m gonna take you to a friend’s house who really needs the Lord. So this lady lost her husband, and one of her daughters recently had spine surgery, and she was going through a rough time, and this stud during the lesson bore one of the most powerful testimonies I had ever heard about the helping hand of the Lord in the lives who follow him. He committed the whole family to be baptized. It was an amazing experience, but it wasn´t the only time it happened. He took us to another guy´s house that he worked with, and we had taught this guy a while back, but he didn´t want to be baptized, because he felt that he would sin again and would fail the Lord after. So our friend began to testify of the atonement, and how it applies to all those who repent and come unto to him, I´m gonna be honest I don´t remember most of what was said, but what I do remember is the spirit that was present. I learned something from these two experiences that it does not matter how smart we are or how great our knowledge of the scriptures is when it comes to the power of a testimony.
I just want y’all to know that I have really enjoyed the mission, I have learned so much, I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father. A lot of things that I hoped to be true before I left on the mission are now things that I know without a doubt. I thank each and every one of you for your constant support throughout these 2 years.
I leave you all with my simple testimony. God lives, He loves us, He sent His son to suffer and die for us, Jesus is the Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and through his atoning sacrifice we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I have come to know these things thanks to the power of prayer and the Book of Mormon. If any of you are not convinced of these truths, I would invite you to accept the invitation that the prophet Moroni gives us,
Moroni 10:3-5
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

Week 99 --- 3 Weeks
SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well this week was pretty good, I´m gonna tell y’all a story, soooo for 2 weeks
I´ve been sick, and last Monday, I decided to go to a doctor, and he was like
bro you got pharyngitis, you need to rest! So I was pretty bummed, and I was in
the house of our mission leader for lunch, and his dad who works in radiology
heard my cough and he said “I need to take you to my work for an x-ray of your
lungsS.” o we went, and he did the
x-ray, and told me bro I´m pretty sure you got bronchitis, so he sent me to
another doctor who specializes in that kind of stuff. He looked at the x-ray, and listened to my
breathing, and my cough, and was like bro that´s bad, you got bronchitis. Then
they gave me a bunch of meds. So you could say these last 2 weeks I haven´t
been 100%, but regardless we were able to have success.
So remember Serigio,
well he´s dope, he continues to come to church each week, and our branch
organizes a Family Home Evening kind of activity every other Sunday, and
now Sergio goes to those activities, and he doesn´t just go he participates.
It´s so hard for me knowing that he has a testimony of the restored gospel, but
still can´t make the decision to be baptized.
Also we had zone
conference this last week, and every zone conference the missionaries who are
going home that transfer have to share their last testimony, sooooooooo I had
to share my last testimony, it´s getting real that I´m ending my mission. 3
weeks left!
Sorry the email isn´t
too long, but like I said I´ve been sick for the last 2 weeks, and I just don´t
remember a lot of what happened.

Week 98 - Elder Castro's birthday
No group email this week, but Facundo did post photos from Elder Castro's birthday party on June 14th.

So my new companion is Elder Castro, he´s from Mexico, he speaks really good English. When we are in the apartment, we pretty much talk only English.
Sad thing, Sergio, our investigator who was supposed to be baptized, told us he isn´t ready which to me is kinda weird, because he told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is the word of God, he believes everything we have taught. He said he´s just a little scared to make such an important decision. So we are gonna see what we can do to help him.
Sorry I ran out of time, I´ll tell y’all more next week.

Another dude, Manuel, he´s dope, he came to church for the second time yesterday, and he will be baptized June 9th. In our second lesson with him he said the Book of Mormon was true. I say it again the Book of Mormon is powerful.

Week 91 - BLESSINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooo it´s Monday... I got nothing else to do, so I decided to write you guys. Hha psych! Nah fo real though, it’s so good to be able to write y’all this fine Monday morning!
So this week was a good one... We were able to find new people and stuff. So yeah, but I´m gonna share with y’all a few things that happened that I thought were just outstanding. To start it´s important that you know that we might have been a little short on money this last week, and we decided to start going to parts of our area where we had never gone before, because it´s very far, and we have to take buses to get there. Sooooo we were out in the boonies and we had to get back quickly, and we didn´t know if we had enough money to get back, and a taxi stopped and asked where we were goin, we told him where we were heading, and he took us for free. BLESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The interesting thing he didn´t even believe in God, he simply wanted to do a good deed, but we were able to teach him about the plan of salvation in his taxi. It was a great experience.
Another day, we had lunch with a family really far away, and we walked there to save some money, and after lunch we had a lesson, so we couldn´t walk back, because we didn´t have time, and another car pulled up and said get in. It was a couple that listened to the missionaries before, and they took us to the lesson! BLESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I right?
On another one of our adventures this week, we got off the bus, and just started walking to the boonies, ya know the usual, and we ran into this guy, we share a little with him, but he was drunk, so that was pretty normal, so we just kept walking and walking until we arrived at these little houses made of bricks and mud. We met a dude, his name is Dario, and he was a member, a member very inactive, hadn´t been to church in 14 years. He invited us in, and said he was going through some tough times, and didn´t think it was just a coincidence that we happened to wander all the way to his house. He told us it was time to come back, and we were able to teach him and his wife, who was not a member, the restoration. BLESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other story, we were on our way home one night, and we decided to knock one more, and a kind old lady came out, and we were like we´re missionaries and all that good stuff, and she was like come in. We were a good 20 minutes into the lesson, and she was like, " yeah I´m a member" and I was like wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
We also found 24 new people this week. it was grand, that´s all I got for this week, bye!!!!!!!

Week 90 - General Authority
SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off, my mother pointed out to me that last week I didn´t start my email with SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!! So I apologize to all those who were disappointed. Well this week was pretty good, I guess, I´m gonna tell you about the General Authority that came to our mission this week. Elder Teixeira, this last General Conference he was called as a member of the Presidency of Seventy. So Thursday we all went to Mendoza for a special conference. Sooo he isn´t a native Spanish speaker, soooo his Spanish was a little iffy, and every now and then he would blurt out a world in English, which isn´t his native tongue either, and it was quite entertaining, but he gave a good lesson, it mostly had to do with teaching more lessons. The wife of Elder Teixeira doesn´t speak very much Spanish... or English, sooooo we had a translator for her lesson. It was impressive, because he talked in English, kinda, and an Elder from Guatemala translated like perfectly everything.
Other thing, my brother got engaged on my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
