Week 78 --- Transfer Week

Keaton to Mom: "Hey nothing really happened so can I skip this week's email?"

So ... no group email this week, but at least Keaton wrote to his momma.  Since this is a transfer week, his P-Day was today (Tuesday).  He has been transferred to San Juan, in a  place called Progresso.  His companion is Elder Lucero and it is Elder Lucero's last transfer before going home.

We better get a long, group email next week to make up for this week!

At least I received a picture from another missionary mom!

Week 77 --- I don´t have a good title for this email.

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooo we had a pretty dope week. We did more exchanges, we found a bunch of people, we had investigators at church, and we made another asado!

Soooo we decided to do more exchanges on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and let me tell ya, work always gets done. In a day we found 12 new investigators and set 7 baptismal dates, that was Wednesday. Thursday I had my pal Elder Thompson come help me for a family home evening with some investigators. We were gonna make pancakes and do some lit games. Unfortunately it got canceled. But we still had an interesting day. So some back story, two weeks ago a group of ladies saw us and started shouting at us, and whistling at us like we were just pieces of meat to fulfill their carnal desires. How disrespectful am I right? Well Thursday me and Elder Thompson ran into them again, and they followed us for a few blocks taking selfies with us. What the heck! That kinda ruined our afternoon, we had to leave that neighborhood, and skip a lesson or two for that reason. Now we don´t go over there.

Then Friday me and my comp went and worked in the other area, because at night we were gonna do another asado. It was fun, we are perfecting the art of the asado. Well that´s all... bye.

Week 76 - Finally . . .

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooooooo it´s a great day, and I wanna start out telling y’all about the giant turtle we met last Monday, his name is Jorge, I´ll send a pic of him in this email don´t you worry. So another week down, 26 to go.  Squad I´m gonna be honest, this last month has been rough, we hadn´t had any investigators at church in 4 straight weeks, and I was suuuuper discouraged. We had tried everything, we called...  A LOT... and we went to their houses Sunday morning, and that didn´t work either. So yesterday we were sitting in Sacrament  Meeting pretty sad because none of our investigators showed up, but then the family that we went to look for in the morning that didn´t answer the door, they all showed up, and shortly after another family showed up. We were pretty stoked, I have no doubt that we were blessed for our hard work, and diligence. I was very grateful for the help from my Father in Heaven. Now, because we had some people come to church, it looks like the 27th of this month we´ll have a baptism.

Also we went on exchanges again, it was dope, we made another asado, and we finished right before it started pouring rain. Then the next day we were all gonna go to my area, but I went with Elder Thompson to give a health blessing to a guy in his ward before we left, and we get there, and we asked if we could do the blessing now. They said yeah go for it, I asked where is he, he's in the hospital, so we said well we need him here if we are to give him a blessing.  So they asked can we do it over the phone, obviously the answer is no to that question.  So we went on an adventure, and travelled for like an hour to find the clinic where he was at to give him the blessing.

Then today before coming to write, we went paintballing, it was sooooo dope. They geared us up in camo and everything it was sick.

To end I'd like to share a simple scripture D&C 18:17:

17 Behold, you have my gospel before you, and my rock, and my salvation.

How blessed are we to have His gospel, and to have His salvation. I say pretty darn blessed, so take advantage of it.

That´s all I got for this week, bye!!!!

Week 75 --- You're too young for that . . .

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it was a pretty decent week, not gonna lie. Ummmm we went on exchanges, we made an asado, one of our recent converts told us a pretty funny story.
So I´m gonna start with the story, that will also explain the title of the email. Soooo recently the niece of this convert has been staying with her, and we have gone a few times to go over the lessons again, because that´s what you´re supposed to do with recent converts, and well her niece has been there, and I guess she like fell in love with me, well that´s what our convert told us. I guess one day she got drunk out of her flippin mind, and was crying all night... about me... so eventually our convert threw her in the shower, clothes and all, and turned on the cold water, and just left her there for a while.  The reason I put the title that I did is because she´s 15-years-old.  Soooo we´re probably not going back to that house until she leaves...
Other stuff, so I decided to go with Elder Nascimento this time when we went on exchanges, and let me tell you... He´s the GOAT, in one day we found more than 10 new investigators, and we set like 8 baptismal dates, it was pretty dope. Then we made asado it was pretty great.

Not much more to say, sooooooooo BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 74 - Happy New you years!!!!!!!!!!!!

SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year. I hope you all made some goals, I sure did, my goal is to make it back to the USA in 2018, I´m pretty sure I´ll accomplish that one, and sadly I have to lose some weight... I have obtained a little gut. So this week was pretty dope, kinda.  My companion was very ill until Thursday, sooooo we didn´t get to work until Thursday night, and we were guided to this guy, he is actually pretty dope, and as we are introducing ourselves a bird dropped a huuuuge dump on my shirt, sooo I had to teach the lesson with a ton of bird turd on me. It wasn´t the greatest experience, but we got him to accept a baptismal date though, so it was chill. Soooo we didn´t get a lot of work done up until that point, so I decided to do some exchanges in our area, so the other elders in our district came over to help, they helped us out a ton! We ended up finding 9 new investigators. It was sick.  Then to celebrate New Year’s a family in the area of the other elders invited us to go over to eat. We ate a LOT of food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we went back sat on top of the apartment and watched the fireworks, it was swell. I have pictures don´t worry. Also yesterday was our pday, but nothing was open so we are writing today, but for pday a family from my last area invited me and another Elder in our district that had also served there over for lunch, soooo we spent pday visiting families from our old area, it was pretty chill. They gave us a lot of food. Well that´s all I got to share with y’all. I´ll talk to you guys next week! BYE!
